Sister Kirkham provides banannas for the missionaries on interview day.

This trip to Liberia, Pres. Roggia interviewed all the missionaries.  Sister Kirkham provides banannas and cookies for the missionaries while they wait for their interview.

Quita and Sista

Quita is a member of the Paynesville 1 branch who volunteers a great deal of time at the Employment Resource Center in the Sinkor district center in Monrovia.  Quita also sponsors an orphanage, trying to supply them food and clothing as much as she can.

Elda and Sista Kirkham just outside the Caldwell meetinghouse

We enjoyed participating in the Caldwell district meeting with the two elders and four sisters in this district and got one of the sisters to take our picture.

Sister Kirkham trains District Relief Society presidency

Judy trained Sister Meyers, Sister Sayons and Sister Dinukar, the Bushrod Island district Relief Society presidency.  We used Handbook 2 and the Church's Leadership Training videos from the Church's web site.  The sisters particularly enjoyed the five videos on visiting teaching.  They said that for the first time they could see how visiting teaching is to be done and they could do it!

Kakata: young saints carry "new" chairs three blocks from the school where they meet for Church to a member's home for safekeeping. They do this every week.

Notice the protective wrap that the chairs come in, still on some of the legs of the chairs.
This sweet little sister also has some Church manuals on "top" of her chair that she's carring.

The building at the back of this picture is where the saints in Kakata meet.
